Too many people set one big hairy audacious goal (BHAG) and unfortunately fall short. As my teacher in 6th grade told us: "If you shoot for the stars, sometimes you land on Uranus." It helped me understand that I should be SMART when setting goals. It also taught me that I should make BIG goals right.
BIG goals go like this...
Budget: This is par for the course. This is not the ultimate but it still is awesome. It means that you are still stretching.
Incredible: This is the second level of the goal. Meeting the incredible benchmark means that you are achieving much more than you originally thought possible, but also means that there is another level to meet.
Grand Slam: This is the ultimate.
